  • How much does a new deck cost?

    The price of your deck build will vary depending a few factors like size of the plan, materials to be used, and any customizations that will add material and labor cost.


    Customers looking for a relatively basic, entry-level deck might spend anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 dollars.  For a larger deck or one with premium materials you might fall into the $7,000 to $20,000 range. We've also done large, luxury screen porches upwards of $50,000.


    The best way to figure out how much your deck or screen porch will cost is to request a free quote. We will be able to figure exactly what you're looking for and give you an accurate estimate based off that.



  • What material is best for building a deck?

    One of the biggest decisions you'll have to make regarding your deck that will affect the price will be the material you choose to build with.


    There are three main types of material used in the majority of decks. Those are natural wood, PVC, and composite decking. 


    Natural wood is a classic material that is beautiful, however, it is the most susceptible to wear. Pressure treated lumber is commonly used for decking to increase durability, however, it is still less durable than other options. Another natural wood option for building a new deck is to use woods like Redwood that are naturally resistant to decay.


    Composite and PVC decking are the fastest growing segments of materials used in decking today. That's because they require virtually no maintenance and are extremely resistant to wear. 


    While PVC is a pure plastic material, composite is a mixture of wood dust and plastic. This material typically does a better job at mimicking real wood. 


    Wood-plastic Composite is typically two to three times more expensive than pressure-treated lumber, and PVC is slightly more expensive than that.  


    The real value from choosing composite or plastic is that you never will have to do any refinishing, and you will have a very long-lasting deck with virtually zero maintenance.

  • Do I have to worry about building codes?

    Yes you will need a building permit to add a new deck to your home. Therefore you'll also need an inspection.

  • Will a new deck increase the value of my home?

    Yes absolutely! Adding a new deck is one of the most rewarding ways to add value to your home.
